Project 3 – Youth and Educational

Youth and Educational.

We are very pleased with the way this project has developed. In the earlier years, from our own limited funds we started off with organising public speaking, essay writing, poem recitals, career seminars, skill training, giving small prizes and certificates to students in the villages who were placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

It is so gratifying to know that all our people wherever they are are keen supporters of anything to do with education for our children and youths. When people saw our small effort in encouraging the children they came forward – both form the villages and NRi’s – to sponsor substantial educational programs.

As you will see in the photos and newspaper cuttings various donors started handing out, books, educational kits and cash to not only bright students but also to all the students particularly in their own villages. Emphasis were mainly on the children from poor families and children of widowed mothers.

A number of these donors, Shree P. U. Patel and family of Kothamdi in UK, Shree Parbhubhai Ranchhodbhai Patel and his sons Manubhai, Kishorebhai and Bipinbhai of Nani Kakrad in Canada, Shree Ramanbhai Vallabhbhai Patel of Kothamdi in UK, have been sponsoring for a number of years every year.

Their annual outlay is Rs. 50,000. We and the beneficiaries are most grateful.

For students, examinations are an annual headache and a time for extraordinary tension. He at KVFT we regularly organise seminars (which are very well attended) giving guidance to students. Parents are highly interested and involved in their sons/daughters exam results. These seminars are also well attended by the parents. Printed Guidance notes are given to everyone attending.
